Abodabat (Japanese: トジコウモリ Tojikoumori) is a Rank A, Wind-attribute Yo-kai of the Shady tribe introduced in Yo-kai Watch.

Abodabat is one of the 13 Yo-kai who has a white counterpart who works for McKraken.

In Yo-kai Watch and Yo-kai Watch 2, Abodabat evolves from Hidabat when fused with Tengloom, and as of Yo-kai Watch Blasters, evolves from Hidabat when fused with a Comfy Closet.

Biology[]

Abodabat is a bat Yo-kai living inside a pale-beige house with a purple roof and a large brown door where Abodabat's eyes and nose are visible. Above it is a single, small, pale blue-grey circle, most likely a window. Abodabat's legs and tail are visible from the bottom of the house. The roof and sides of the house have a dark blue pair of bat wings.

Abodabat keeps people shut inside their homes.

White Abodabat is almost the same that his colored counterpart except that he is mostly white and grey and that he follows the ideal of Yo-kai superiority over humans.

Fuse Hidabat with Tengloom. Alternatively, both normal and white Abodabat appears on Liar Mountain, Hooligan Road, and the Yo-kai World Bridge in the Yo-kai World.

Fuse Hidabat with a Comfortable Closet. The Comfortable Closet can be obtained by talking to Mr. Byrd in Blossom Heights.

In the Chapter 10 sub-quest, Squiddilius McKraken, exclusive to White Dog Squad, White Abodabat appears to deal the Blasters team, but same that the first game, he can't be befriended.

Etymology[]

  • His Japanese name is a play on the words tojikomori (閉じこもり, "shut-in" or "housebound") and kōmori (蝙蝠, "bat").
  • His English name is a portmanteau of the words abode and bat.
  • His German name is a pun that combines fledermaus (bat) with haus (house).
  • His Spanish name, "Caseriélago" combines "Caserío" (Homestead) and "Murciélago" (Bat).

Trivia[]

  • Adobabat's "random" nicknames in Yo-kai Watch 1 are: Lockdown, Wayne, Peekaboo, and Cooclock.
    • "Wayne" is a reference to Bruce Wayne (Batman). One of Hidabat's nicknames is "Bruce" and Belfree's is "Alfred."
