The Academy Shortcut (Japanese: 塾への近道 Jukue no chikamichi) is an area in Downtown Springdale in the Yo-kai Watch series. It is located in the northern center of the map below Foundation Academy. It has a manhole that allows entrance to the Springdale Underground Waterway.
Overview[]
The Academy Shortcut is a back alley below Foundation Academy and above the Police Station. It is a long horizontal alley with a square segment at the center with an elevated walkway along the north. A manhole to the Springdale Underground Waterway can be found in the southern part of the square section.

Yo-kai Watch 2[]
In Yo-kai Watch 2, a purple chest can be found in the center-north with an item spot below it on the ground level.
Yo-kai Watch 3[]
Up to two Yo-kai can appear here at a time with two spawning when arriving from the east or west and only one spawning when entering from the manhole. One spawns on the east of the overhead walkway with one spawning at the bottle neck of the western entrance. A golden chest appears to the right of the eastern set of stairs and a purple chest appears in the north-east of the overhead walkway. The player can investigate the trash west of the manhole and just south of the overhead walkway as well as the boxes left of the eastern set of stairs.
The sewers from this area, named Yo-kai Parade Mural features the titular mural of numerous Yo-kai in a traditional Japanese style as well as a wild Yo-kai.
