Acenyan (Japanese: フユニャンエース, Fuyunyan Ēsu) is a Rank A, Wind-attribue Rare 'Merican Yo-kai of the Brave tribe introduced in Yo-kai Watch 3.

Biology

Acenyan is similar to Hovernyan, but his cape has a regal appearance, being velvet in color with a card suit pattern in the borders and fur lined. He also wears a french-style soldier's hat and carries a rapier.

Etymology

• Fuyunyan Ace is a combination of Fuyunyan (Hovernyan's Japanese name) and Ace, as in the playing cards.
• Acenyan is a portmanteau of "Ace" and "nyan" (similar to a cat's meow)
• Assonyan derives from "asso" (ace) and "nyan."

Origin

Acenyan is based on the Ace Card, one of the trump playing cards. With Acenyan's sword motif, the design would lean towards the Ace of Spades, which is usually the highest rank but can vary from game to game.
