Afronaut (Japanese: アフロ１３ (サーティーン), Afuro Sātīn) is a Rank D, Ice-attribute, 'Merican Yo-kai of the Heartful tribe introduced in Yo-kai Watch 3.

Biology

Afronaut resembles an astronaut with a huge dark purple afro with two yellow stars in it. He wears a white space suit outlined with blue, and the number 13 is in the center of it. His white gloves are connected with red to the suit. He wears white boots, which have blue soles.

Etymology

• His Japanese name is a portmanteau of the English word afro and Apollo 13, a manned mission that was the third intended to land on the Moon.
• His English name is a combination of the word "astronaut," referencing his outfit, and "afro" is referencing his hairstyle.

Afro 13 is based on an astronaut, and is intended to be related to Apollo 13.
