Damona waiting for the arrival of the New Year. She likes the New Year's greeting "Akeome" and whenever she meets someone, it's fun to say "Akeome koto yoro ja!"

Akeome Hyakki-hime (Japanese: あけおめ百鬼姫 Akeome Hyakki-hime) is a Rank S Ice-attribute Yo-kai of the Charming tribe exclusively in Yo-kai Watch World.

Akeome Hyakki-hime resembles Damona. She is wearing a black haregi kimono with intricate patterns along the sleeves and skirt hem. She has a white fluffy collar with a red flower at the centre and a light blue kimono underneath. She has a red obi with a yellow obiage and a light green knotted obijime. She has white tights and grey zori with red straps. In her hair she has a red flower hair clip with a branch of buds and two white, lacy trails.

Etymology[]

"Akeome Hyakki-hime" is a combination of Akeome, a shortened version of the Japanese for Happy New Year, and Hyakki-hime (Damona’s Japanese name). (See Damona#Etymology).

Trivia[]

  • "Akeome koto yoro" - as seen in her Medallium entry - is the shorter version of "Akemashite omedetou gozaimasu" and “Kotoshimo yoroshiku onegai itashimasu," all meaning 'Happy New Year.'
