Etymology
Origin
Asura is based on the group of Buddhist entities of the same name (Japanese: असुर,Asur). They are divine beings that straddle the line between demon and god, known for their pride, intense passion, thirst for battle and hot temper. Despite being included in the Buddhist pantheon, they are bound by earthly desires even more strongly than humans, and as such struggle to achieve enlightenment, trapped in the lowest plane of heaven where they fight among each other day and night. Nonetheless, they can be as righteous and benevolent as the other Buddhist gods.
Traditionally, they are portrayed as towering, fierce-eyed beings with three faces and six arms.
"Takkabrig" comes from "attaccabrighe" - a person who's prone to causing heated discussions and fights.
Trivia
Since Asura is exclusive to Yo-kai Watch 3: Tempura in Japan, all of the Yo-kai needed to befriend Asura are exclusive to Yo-kai Watch 3: Tempura.
