Bakera is a large and chubby red-and-white cat-shaped Yo-kai that has a long tail, with blue sclerae eyes and pupils on his face and blue tips and wears a white scarf with two flaps around his neck. He also has pink paw pads on his bottom paws, a red cross-shaped mark on his tummy and stripes on his the back of his paw-hands.
At first, Bakera appears to be calm and carefree, and doesn't mind causing trouble and distraction for others that can see him but he can get mad at strangers if tampered with and fights them off on his own.
In the form of defense and combat, Bakera can turn into a bigger and more monstrous version of himself which gives him claws allowing him to scratch enemies and destroy things in his way with improved strength.

Bakera may be based on the youkaiBakeneko, since that he was referred to as one in M06.
Trivia
He is the first Yo-kai Academy Y character to have a western-localized name, which was revealed in the French release of volume 17 of the Yo-kai Watch manga.
