Bam-Boom! Fusing is a Key Quest that is part of the story of Yo-kai Watch 2 and tasks the player with learning the Fusion mechanic of the game. The quest can be started by talking to Mr. Zen inside of the Shoten Temple located in Blossom Heights. It is recommended to be completed around Level 6. Since it is a Key Quest, the player is forced to complete it to progress with the story.
Quest[]
The protagonist travels to Shoten Temple as part of the main story to learn the Fusion mechanic of the game, which allows the player to get stronger Yo-kai. After talking to Mr. Zen, it is revealed that he has the Fusion item that the player needs, however he is missing the Yo-kai that the item fuses with. The player is tasked with finding an Ake to fuse with the Buff Weight to create the Yo-kai Payn. The quest concludes with the protagonist befriending Ake and talking to Mr. Zen, who tells the player more about Fusion.

Pre-quest[]
- Mr. Zen at Shoten Temple knows a lot about Yo-kai, and apparently he can do something...special. Well, let's head to the Shoten Temple in Blossom Heights to find out more!
- Word is Mr. Zen at Shoten Temple will fuse a Yo-kai with an item for us.
During quest[]
- Mr. Zen wants us to fetch Ake from the Secret Byway near the temple-then he'll fuse Yo-kai for me! Ake might join me if I give him candy. They sell candy at the Candy Stop in Blossom Heights!
Quest complete[]
- I brought Ake to Mr. Zen who gave me a Buff Weight as a reward! It turns out fusing items with Yo-kai makes them stronger, so now I want to bring Mr. Zen lots of items and Yo-kai to fuse!

- Ake can be found in Blossom Heights and in the Secret Byway by Shoten Temple. His favorite food is Candy.
Trivia[]
- The player does not actually need to fuse Ake & the Buff Weight to complete the quest - it is entirely optional.
