Biology[]
Bastnetnyan has a slight resemblance to Jibanyan, being a cat Yo-kai as well. However, Bastnetnyan has dark fur with a dark shade of brown in the muzzle, deep-blue eyes and the tail wisps are golden-yellow in color.
Bastnetnyan wears a regal attire reminiscent of Egyptian royalty, consisting of a golden cat-like helmet with a rhomboid blue jewel in the middle, and a golden earring on the left side, a red, blue and green-colored chestpiece over a plain white sleeveless shirt and a golden skirt. Bastnetnyan also carries around a rod with a tambourine-like head and an inner aqua-green paw-like ornament.
As the Medallium entry states, Bastnetnyan was worshiped as a deity in the Cluvian Continent. True to this divine-like portrayal, Bastnetnyan has the ability to protect people by inspiriting them as well as healing them from any disease.

Etymology[]
Nyastet is a combination of "nyan" and "Bastet."
Similarly, Bastnetnyan is a combination of "Bastet" and "nyan." However, there is an "n" in Bastnetnyan. This may have been a typographical error.
Origin[]
Bastnetnyan is based on the Egyptian goddess Bastet, known as the goddess of warfare in Lower Egypt. Bastet was traditionally represented as a woman with the head of a lioness (in a similar manner to how the Egyptian Gods were portrayed). She was eventually regarded as the goddess of perfumes -known as the perfumed protector- due to her association with the lavish jars used for storing perfume.
During the unification of ancient Egypt, Bastet's head changed from a lioness to the domestic cat.
