Big Fish (Japanese: イソノナミ Isononami) is a Rank S, Water-attribute Rare Yo-kai of the Slippery tribe introduced in Yo-kai Watch 3.

Appearances[]

Video games[]

Biology[]

Big Fish appears to look like an anthropomorphic catfish with orange and yellow fins on the sides, these fins seem to resemble octopus hands. Throughout his design there are various marine decorations, and his skin is a dark teal color. He wears shorts that make him look like a fisherman.

Profile[]

Yo-kai Watch 3[]

Big Fish can be found in the top left of the Seaside Cave, with it and the rest of San Fantastico accessible after Update 3.0. He can be fought once a day until he is befriendable by traditional means. Big Fish is exclusive to the Sushi version of the Japanese release. He's also accessible in Sukiyaki and the international release, should you side with Silver Lining.

Yo-kai Watch Busters 2[]

Big Fish can be found in the 7th Mugen Dungeon as a drop with Clu-T-facts.

Etymology[]

Name Origin[]

  • "Big Fish" is derived from the expression "big fish in a small pond."
  • "Isononami" is possibly based on the yōkai Isonade, a marine yōkai similar to a giant shark. It has very rarely been seen, and destroys ships.
  • "Pecificador" is a combination of "Pez" (Fish) and "Pacificador" (Pacifier).

Quotes[]

  • Receiving food (favorite): "That made a splash!"
  • Loafing: "Just wallowing."
  • Befriended: "Grah hah hah! Doughty folk like you belong with me on the high seas!"
  • Traded: "Grah hah hah! So you think you can handle the might of the sea do you?"
  • Blasters T Camp: "Grah hah hah! Pick me if you want some real muscle behind ya!"

Trivia[]

  • Big Fish does not have his real-life medal counterpart.
  • He is possibly inspired by King Zora from The Legend of Zelda series.
  • Big Fish's "random" nicknames are: Laguna, Poseidon, SaltyDog, and Sahagin.
