Bike Race

Bike Race is a type of minigame that appears in Yo-kai Watch 2 and Yo-kai Watch 3, being the main way to unlock Bicycle skins and bells.

Overview

The goal of a bike race is to defeat all opponents by coming first in one lap of the course.* Power-ups include Staminum, which removes stamina for a few seconds, and Speed Talisman, which makes the player move faster temporarily.

Some Yo-kai appear on the track. Noway blocks you, Nekidspeed speeds you up, Blowkade moves around in fixed paths, attempting to block you, Buhu slows you down, Cheeksqueek farts, obscuring the player’s vision, Bubble Beth makes you slippery and Happierre blocks your view. NPC's occasionally appear, blocking the way this includes the Soba Driver.

In the Northbeech course, 'Merican Yo-kai show up instead. For example, Oh Wheel blocks you, Speedemountain speeds you up, Hot Air Buffoon moves around and tries to block you, Snailspace slows you down, Stinkeye farts and obscures your vision and Afronaut blocks your view.

In the New Yo-kai City course, a mixture of both Springdale and 'Merican Yo-kai appear.

First an initial bicycle race is unlocked which requires you to take first place, then after winning that one another is unlocked which requires you to beat a target time, which will reward you with either a Bicycle bell, skin or both.

In Yo-kai Watch 2, Bubble Beth and Cheeksqueek aren't present in Bicycle Races, and only one lap is needed to win.

In ND016, Nate tells Katie that they're having a bike race. However, Katie was inspirited by Baddinyan, causing her to take the race extremely seriously and win easily.
