Black Dianyan (Japanese: ブラックダイヤニャン Burakku Daiyanyan) is a Onechanside Yo-kai of the Tsukumono tribe. He is one of the Seven Jewel Generals.
In other games, he is a Yo-kai of the Brave tribe. In Yo-kai Watch: Wibble Wobble, he is a Rank Z Yo-kai, while in Yo-kai Sangokushi: Kunitori Wars, he is a Earth-attribute Rank Sho Yo-kai.

Biology[]
Black Dianyan resembles Dianyan but is black in color instead. His ears are sharper and longer, and he has a long black cape. His haramaki, or "belly wrap", has yellow diamonds surrounding it, and his tail hitodamas are blue. He wields a katana with a grayish silver edge, a purple no-hi (or blood groove in English) in 3 black diamonds running down it in a straight pattern. The katana's habaki is grayish silver with a black diamond over it on both sides while the tsuba is grayish silver and black whilst the black part is styled to look like two straight, bladed wings. The silver tsuka is wrapped by purple wrapping and the silver koshira has a black and gold bead with a gold tassel on the end.
Black Dianyan is rather hard headed and can be hard to convince. He is also rather hard and can send people flying downards by simply bowing and making contact.

Yo-kai Watch: Wibble Wobble[]
Black Dianyan was available in the Kuroi Watch Event Part 3 ~Black Dianyan joins the battle!~ event through the limited Crank-a-kai from August 16, 2019, to August 31, 2019. He returned in the second Monster Strike event through the limited Crank-a-kai from the 19th of November to the 22nd of November, dealing more damage against normal slingshots.

He appeared in EX020, where his sword was stolen by Molar Petite, Agent Spect-hare, and Snow Spect-hare, and he, along with Nate, Whisper and Jibanyan, go to retrive it. Along with Ruby Shurakoma, they infiltrated their lair and got his sword back, destroying their Captain Thunder mecha as well as their house in the process.
In EX021, he had a Budokai torunament with Ruby Shurakoma, but won by doing absolutely nothing- his opponent got tired chipping away at him while he asked Whisper about details.
He was first summoned in EX028 to get Sorrypus off Nate’s head.

- Dianyan burying a foe that connect with his headbutt may be a poke at Donkey Kong’s side special move in the Super Smash Bros. series.
- Another reference to that series is that his sword can get stuck on solid objects like Corrin’s Dragon Lance or Sephiroth’s forward aerial.
