Appearance[]

Boogiemum is a mummy Yo-kai with an afro covered with his bandages, and a giant gold disco ball for a stomach. He has a star shape on his right eye and gold fake teeth. His bandages cover up most of his body, and he wears a belt with a star on it. His jacket is partially golden with a fluffy exterior, and he wears pink-red pants. His arms are fully bandaged with four hanging loose on each arm. He wears pink shoes with bandages covering up his legs.

Personality[]

His Medallium entry suggests he was born from the hope of shy people to be in a happy and gorgeous world.

In the manga, Boogiemum is a shy individual himself, being too scared to talk to anybody besides the Crummy Mummies in his home. He often seems to see himself as not being as glitzy and gorgeous as he is, and thinks he does not fit in. Under his his fake afro and wrapped up face lies a creepy dried up skeleton, as he is a mummy. Despite being an introvert, he loves to boogie.

Boogiemum is a combination of Boogeyman and Mummy, and "Boogie" may also refer to his disco theme.

Trivia[]

  • Crystal Shogunyan and Boogiemum are the first two Yo-kai from Yo-kai Watch Busters 2 to have a western localized name in English, as they were both revealed in the Yo-kai Watch manga series.
