Nate leaves an Everymart, telling Whisper they should have a break from looking for Yo-kai however he turns back to see Whisper got his head stuck in the automatic doors. They then decide to go find Yo-kai friends and summon Jibanyan to help them. Whisper however stops him from summoning Jibanyan, saying he can do things without Jibanyan's help. Nate quickly notices Jibanyan was half way through being summoned and is stuck in the watch. Whisper still insists he can help Nate himself.
Giving up, Nate decides to search with his watch and finds a pitch black Yo-kai. Whisper tells Nate that it's just a human and they acting extremely negatively. Nate tries to reassure him and summons Happierre who manages to cheer the boy up. As the boy leaves cheerfully, a strange man appears. A Yo-kai springs from the man who reveals themself to be Negatibuzz. Happierre inspirits the man and he is happy again, leaving just like the boy. Negatibuzz is mad that Nate took the person he was feeding off of but Happierre cheers him up. Negatibuzz quickly returns to normal and attacks Nate with negativity germs. Whisper pushes him out of the way but ends up pushing Nate into a wall. The germs affect Whisper, making him slam his head against the wall in frustration for failing Nate. Whisper loses it and cries out that he must be annoying and forces Nate to admit it which he does. However it doesn't calm him down and he continues to cry loudly. Happierre tries to calm him down but Negatibuzz attacks him. The twos opposing forces struggle to take the other down however Negatibuzz wins after sending out another wave. Despite this, Negatibuzz is tired out from the attack but quickly takes the negative feelings from Whisper. Negatibuzz now overflows with negative power while Whisper returns to being happy. Negatibuzz explains that once he eats someone's negativity they turn positive. Nate decides to summon Jibanyan to deal with Negatibuzz but Jibanyan is already depressed after losing a lot of money. He states that he found the money on the road but lost it. Nate tries to give Jibanyan his own money but he refuses. Jibanyan then works together with Whisper to fight Negatibuzz however Jibanyan simply uses Whisper as a shield for the negativity germs. Jibanyan tries to attack but is overwhelmed by the germs. Nate turns back to Negatibuzz, stating he'll take him down but Negitabuzz has turned happy and bright. He states that because he expelled all his germs, he now feels positive and refreshed. He know understands what it feels like to take away negativity and thanks Nate for his help, giving him his medal. Despite this, Whisper and Jibanyan are still depressed so Nate asks Negatibuzz if he can suck them out. Jibanyan and Whisper are now happy while Negatibuzz has returned to his usual self.
