A Yo-kai Battle Boils Over in the Bath! is the 11th chapter in the Yo-kai Watch manga series.
Plot[]
Nate is bathing in the Hot Springs with Whisper. Once clean, he heads for the jacuzzi. An old man states that it's almost time for something and tells Nate to get out too. One man is left in the bath but falls over, seemingly unconscious. Nate gets in to save him but finds the water is extremely hot. Despite this, they manage to get the man out. The men explain to Nate that the water always heats up at this time and they don't know the reason. Nate decides to search for a Yo-kai and finds Sproink blowing fire into the water. He gets in the water and is shocked Nate can see him. Nate is frustrated that Sproink is heating up the water without thinking about the other people in the bathhouse. He asks Sproink to leave and summons Jibanyan. Jibanyan appears in swimming gear, excited about the beach. He lands in the water and jumps out, screaming at the heat. Sproink chastises Nate for bringing Jibanyan in since he's a cat and Nate states that he's a hypocrite since he's a pig.
Sproink then attacks Jibanyan with his fire and Jibanyan slides on a bar of soap to escape. Jibanyan then strikes Sproink in the stomach. In return, Sproink attacks them with shower gel, making everyone slippery. Sproink runs towards them but slips too. Whisper tells Jibanyan to climb on his back so he won't slip but Jibanyan slips while getting to him and the two start to fight between each other. While they're distracted, Sproink shoots fire at them but Nate quickly puts out the fire with a shower head. Jibanyan then appears to fly but is actually flapping his flippers to fly. He then attacks Sproink, causing his fire to backfire and Sproink falls down.
Sproink apologises and says he won't raise the temperature anymore. He states that he'll go to a different bathhouse instead but Nate tells him he'll stop there too. Sproink says he'll be waiting but Nate is mad he won't stop at all. Nate asks if Sproink wants to be friends but Sproink refuses, instead treating them as rivals. Whisper tells Nate that some Yo-kai just don't want to be friends and they decide to relax instead. They get in the bath however it's still extremely hot.
This chapter features a bonus manga.
Sproink is in the bath, saying it feels really good. He tells Nate it tastes good too and starts to suck it up. Nate curiously tries it and realises it's pork broth and Sproink is flavouring the entire bath.
