Bu-Bump, Bu-Bump, Ka-Blam! is the 97th chapter in the Yo-kai Watch manga series.
Plot[]
Kyubi looks over Springdale stating how he can use his power to gain whatever he wants. Meanwhile, Nate is ecstatic that he's going to see Katie. Distracted, he walks right into the road in front of a car. Something lifts Nate up, stopping him from getting hit however Whisper isn't so lucky. Nate is confused so tries to search for a Yo-kai and finds Kyubi. He thanks him but Kyubi is shocked to see Nate has a Yo-kai Watch. Kyubi saved Nate because he thought he could see Yo-kai and could have seen how amazingly he saved him but is mad he was wrong. Kyubi tells Nate that he only wants to make people's heart throb for him so he becomes more popular. Nate is mad but is quickly distracted when Katie arrives. Kyubi quickly introduces himself as Nate's friend in a human form. Kyubi compliments Katie's beauty and Nate realises he's trying to steal Katie's heart.
Nate summons Baku and tells him to use his sleepy smoke. Kyubi scoffs, saying Baku won't affect him but the smoke hits Katie instead and Whisper realises Nate needed Katie to not see so he could fight Kyubi. He then summons Jibanyan but he is covered in snot from Fidgephant in an earlier chapter. Jibanyan rubs himself against Nate, trying to clean himself but he gets the two of them stuck. Whisper tries to help too but also gets stuck. Nate instead decides to borrow Jibanyan's body and summons Shogunyan. Shogunyan possesses Jibanyan but is still covered so leaves Jibanyan's body and possesses Whisper. Kyubi butts in and blasts fire at Whisshogun Shogunyan appears beside Nate and Nate thinks he dodged however he simply left Whisper's body to save himself.
Kyubi tries to wake Katie, hoping she saw his cool attack. Nate worries that he won't be able to defeat Kyubi and panics as Katie wakes up. He tries to ask for help from Baku but he's sleeping. Kyubi approaches Katie as she wakes however Shogunyan possess Katie and strikes Kyubi down. Kyubi gives in and tells Nate he's ready for a lecture however Nate just states he didn't want Kyubi to steal Katie's heart. Nate tells him it isn't good to treat attracting people like a game. He also confesses that sometimes he acts nice too when he wants someone to be his friend. Kyubi gives him some heart throbbing advice but Whisper is mad Kyubi is acting so arrogantly. Nate doesn't mind and states that he wants to be Kyubi's friend anyway. Kyubi panics, thinking that Nate will touch his heart if they keep talking and quickly gives Nate his medal. Nate turns away to notice Jibanyan ascending but his soul is stuck because of the snot and his soul returns to his body. Katie wakes up and mentions that it's late so she heads home. Nate is distraught that they never got to hang out.
This chapter features a bonus manga.
Nate asks Shogunyan to inspirit Katie so she'll come back. Nate is ecstatic that Katie is coming back but notices she has the face and head of Shogunyan so quickly changes his mind.
