The Ghoulfather Arc 1 The Truth About Tomnyan is the 127th chapter in the Yo-kai Watch manga series.
Plot[]
Nate and Whisper are walking along, with Whisper joking about when they notice The Last Nyanmurai outside Nate's house. Nate asks why he's there and he tells him that a war is coming. The three of them go to Nate's bedroom and see Jibanyan and Tomnyan there too. The Last Nyanmurai tells Tomnyan to explain to Nate what's going on but he refuses, not wanting to drag Nate into their business. He persists so Nate summons Tattletell to inspirit him. Tomnyan reminisces when he told Nate about his backstory in Volume 11 and continues the story. He says how he returned to Emily's home after becoming a Yo-kai and Emily was crying over a photo of the two of them. A UFO then appears above her house much to his surprise but Emily can't see it so Tomnyan realises it must be the work of Yo-kai. The Ghoulfather, Agent X and three Ghoulies appear from the UFO. Tomnyan tries to stop them from entering Emily's home but he is easily taken down by Agent X. The Yo-kai enter Emily's home and make themselves at home, with Emily unable to see them.
Tomnyan returns, once again telling them to leave. The Ghoulfather mentions that they're only staying for a little bit and then notices Emily is crying over the photo of the two of them. The Ghoulfather realises Tomnyan is the reason she's upset and as the group leaves, he mentions that he'll make her wish come true. The UFO leaves with Tomnyan running outside to chase it. Remembering Emily, he returns inside to find her staring at him and crying, uttering his name, Tom. She runs towards Tomnyan and he is shocked she can see him but she instead runs past him, picking up a cat identical to his appearance when he was alive. Tomnyan is shocked but is glad Emily is finally happy again. However, he trips over the photograph of him and Emily on the floor and realises that Emily hasn't had time to properly grieve his death and simply getting Tom back is wrong. Tomnyan runs out of the house, vowing to defeat The Ghoulfather. As he reaches the door, Agent X warns Tomnyan about The Ghoulfather and that he shouldn't mess with him. Tomnyan retaliates, saying that what he did was wrong but Agent X just thinks he's jealous. Furious, Tomnyan attempts to use his Soultimate but Agent X easily knocks him down. Agent X warns Tomnyan, saying if he sees him again, he'll be sorry.
Tomnyan tells Nate and the others that he's been searching for someone to help ever since but no one in BBQ would oblige. He then begs for Nate and his friends to help him save Emily. Everyone is quiet for a moment but Nate quickly pipes up, saying Tomnyan should have told him earlier since it was so important to him. Everyone else agrees and Tomnyan tearfully thanks them. The Last Nyanmurai then states that they're heading to BBQ.
