Yo-kai Medallium biography "He is the most powerful space mercenary, similar to a canine. He is a perfectionist who only trusts the path he has created for himself. With just one bark, he can blow up a whole area."

The Strongest Space Soldier Dober (Japanese: 最強宇宙傭兵ドーベル, Saikyou Uchu Youhei Dōberu), or simply Dober (Japanese: ドーベル, Dōberu), is an Alien introduced in Yo-kai Watch Jam: Yo-kai Academy Y series. He also has a secondary form in the game called Shin Dober (Japanese: シン・ドーベル, Shin Dober), in the anime he has Dober Vader (Japanese: ドーベル・ベイダ, Dōberu Beida).

He was the final boss of Y School Heroes: Bustlin' School Life before the updates.

In Yo-kai Watch: Wibble Wobble, he is a Rank SSS Yo-kai of the Tough tribe.

Biology

Dober look like a tall robotic humanoid Doberman with a grey body that has black markings on the neck, arms, hands, torso, pelvic area, inside the ears and feet. Parts of his body are a light brown inside the ears, on the face and neck, his chest, his eyebrows, arms and legs. He has a grey nose, an oval-shaped head with three black lines, sharp white teeth, red orbs with a silver ring around it on his collarbone, a red u shaped marking on both shoulders, screws in his neck and on his torso, black triangles on the back of his hands and on top of his feet and a small, pointed tail.

Gameplay

As Dober is the last boss of the main game's storyline, he can be tough to defeat. He will move around rapidly, delivering punches in rather small amounts. A ranged weapon is an ideal way to defeat him, and either using Wild Boy or Sky Snaker to improve the damage dealt.

Dober's stronger attacks are harder to avoid, because they cover a large part of the battlefield but they can be easily avoided if the player dodge-rolls at the right time allowing them to pose easier and fill up the transformation meter faster. If the player keeps attacking Dober, he will unleash a laser attack that will follow the player but will stop if they avoid it enough.

His second form is harder to take out, due to it being faster and stronger to defeat. He also introduces a new attack (that covers the entire battlefield) where the player must perfectly time their dodge rolls in line with his strongest attack. Getting hit by Dober's strong attack will make the player freeze and must wiggle around their joystick fast enough so they can heal.

Etymology

Dober comes from the word "Doberman" the breed of dog on which the character is based.

Trivia

• Unique from other final bosses, Dober does not have a unique form for his second phase, but rather a stronger and recolored version of himself.
