Komasan in the City: The Magic Floor (Japanese: コマさん ～はじめてのタワー編～,Komasan ~Hajimete no Tawā-hen~),Yo-kai Dazzabel & Yo-kai Dimmy (Japanese: 妖怪しゃれこ婦人と妖怪ジミー,Yōkai Sharekofujin to Yōkai Jimī), and Manjimutt: The Great Dog Escape: Episode 3 (Japanese: じんめん犬シーズン2 犬脱走 Episode3,Jinmenken Shīzun 2 Inu Dassō Episode3) is the 14th episode of the Yo-kai Watch anime series. It was broadcasted in Japan on April 18, 2014, and in the United States on December 29, 2015.
Komasan and Komajiro visit a tower, where Komasan notices the wonders of the view high above. Nate finds his mother dressed all flashy thanks to Yo-kai Dazzabel. Manjimutt tries to escape from prison again.
This is the first episode where Nate gets two medals in one segment since EP001.
This is the only time Komajiro’s tail is seen wagging.
Lady Gaga is a American singer, who is best known for her weird fashion tastes.
Henry Ford was a American Industrialist, known for building automobiles. The Model T is one of the first affordable cars.
Whisper's costume motif is a nod towards Tuxedo Mask from the Sailor Moon series.
Whisper saying "What a calamity!" may have been a reference towards Miss Calamity's catchphrase from The Mr. Men Show, which Mark Risley and some of the actors used to work.
The tower Komasan and Komajiro go up is likely an earlier version of Excellent Tower; this is evident in the original Japanese version where the original name (Sakura EX Tree) is used on the sign rather than "Springdale Tower" in the English dub.
Dub Differences[]
The references about Lady Gaga and Henry Ford were added in the English dub.
Oddly enough, Lady Gaga would be referenced as Lady Nya Nya in a later episode as Tomnyan's favorite band.
Errors[]
Somehow, the audio gets distorted when Nate says "My mom never dresses like that" in the dub. It was fixed in other foreign dubs.
