Springdale Five-YO: Episode 1 - The Unwilling Occupant (Japanese: 太陽にほえるズラ！ 第一話「人質」 Taiyō ni Hoeru Zura! Dai-Ichi-Wa "Hitojichi")), Yo-kai Swelton (Japanese: 妖怪あせっか鬼 Yōkai Asekkaki), and Yo-kai Brokenbrella (Japanese: 妖怪さかさっ傘 Yōkai Sakasakkasa) is the 29th episode of the Yo-kai Watch anime series. It was broadcasted in Japan on July 25, 2014, and in the United States on August 3, 2016.
Summary[]
Komasan begins working as an police officer with Whisper as his mentor, and they must deal with a hostage crisis. Nate meets the sweaty Yo-kai Swelton when the weather gets humid. The inside out umbrella Yo-kai Brokenbrella causes Nate's umbrella to get turned inside out during a strong storm.

Trivia[]
- This is the first episode to show Komasan's new model sheet style, which would be subsequent for newer episodes. It also notably resembles his video game artwork a lot less.
- His old style is still used in Westward Yo!, most likely because the episode was in production before this one.
- If the recap from EP010 is counted, this is the third episode where Whisper says "Oh the pain!".
- This is the only episode Nate summons at least 2 Yo-kai with the Yo-kai Watch Model Zero on-screen in a single segment.
Dub Differences[]
- Jibanyan's Nyext Z Medal was changed to his normal Z medal.
- In the original, it said Slicenrice could defeat Oni Yo-kai but in the English dub, it said nasty Yo-kai instead.
