Trivia[]

  • If the recap from EP026 is counted then this is the second episode to make a reference to Looney Tunes.
  • The imagining scene when Jibanyan is worried after Venoct punches near him is a reference to the 1997 Japanese song Maji de Koi suru go-byou mae by Sashihara Rino, with the pun as "Maji de Kesaru ni-byou mae" and Whisper dressed like the musical artist.
  • Whisper poses like Jin Munakata from the Japanese series Ace o Nerae! when he tries to help Nate find his way back home.
  • Whisper holds a mask which resembles the real-life Omoshiro Eyemask.
  • Whisper quotes Bruce Lee's iconic quote "Don't Think, Feel." when he tries to direct Nate into finding a proper way home from the 1978 Chinese film Enter The Dragon.
  • The animation for when Venoct attacks Rubeus J would be reused for the real-life Yo-kai Chocobar commercial in summer 2017.
  • During the recap, Jibanyan says that Dromp is an Eerie, which has lead to a misconception that Jibanyan was saying Dromp is an Eerie Yo-kai.

Dub Differences[]

  • The MK2 reference was written out in the dub, changing it to "going into hiding and wearing a disguise".
