Komasan and Komajiro's Japanese Whole Country Journey: IN Shizuoka (Japanese: コマさんコマじろうの日本全国もんげー旅 IN名古屋,Komasan komajirō no nipponzenkoku monge ̄tabi iin Shizuoka), Tomnyan's Japon Exploration: First Setsubun (Japanese: トムニャンのジャポン探訪『はじめての節分』,Tomunyan no japon tanbō “hajimete no setsubun”) and Yo-kai Love-Torn (Japanese: 妖怪 やぶレター,Yōkai Yaburetā) is the 155th episode of the Yo-kai Watch anime series. It was broadcasted in Japan on January 27, 2017.
Komasan and Komajiro stop at Shizuoka and learn about the culture there. Tomnyan celebrates his first Setsubun, but Nate and the others suddenly end up in Terror Time. Nate has been accidentally making things tear, while Yo-kai Love-Torn inspirits him.
The factory Komasan and Komajiro visit is an obvious parody of the real-life Bandai factory, except that it uses the ficitious in-universe branding of Dandai which was first seen in Komasan: Movin' On Up! segments.
The sea creature Komasan meets in Lake Hamana is based off of youkai Nue, where the creature's body was rumored to have fell into it, being the part of a dissembled chimera.
Ironically, there's already a Yo-kai based off of that.
The overly-exaggerated animation style where Tomnyan throws the baseball during the game is a reference to the 1973 anime called Samurai Giants.
This is the very first episode of the Yo-kai Watch anime series to feature a song that isn't an opening/ending theme or Uta Medal.
Ganball Senki is a reference to Danball Senki, another franchise by Level-5. It was previously brought up in EP127.
Love-Torn is apparently the first Yo-kai to be created as a newborn baby compared to other Yo-kai who are born as their own entities, and apparently grew up in a matter of years judging from the couple's ages before and after Love-Torn became a Yo-kai.
It would somewhat be explored further in EP206, where Jibanyan, Whisper and a couple of other Yo-kai are shown to be babies.
Errors[]
When Nate gets his Yo-kai Bazooka out, the additional Yo-kai Watch Dream clock wasn't present unlike the Yo-kai Blaster.
