Sawayama Castle Town (Japanese: 佐和山城 城下町 Sawayama-Jō Jōkamachi) is a village from the Feudal era in Japan that lies in the front of Sawayama Castle.
This area can only be accessed in Yo-kai Watch 2: Psychic Specters.
Overview[]
The main road of the town, with the castle in the background.
In the year of 1601, it is a small village surrounded by small rivers. Many villagers wander around the place, and the player can interact with them. There is also a vendor who sells Soba Noodles and Dried Fish.
Madame Otoki, who later became Dame Dedtime, lived here before she was locked up for a crime she never committed. Her future husband, Senkichi, kept waiting for her to be released, but both eventually passed away.
A castle of the same name is located directly behind the village, separated by a bridge and a gate.
At nighttime, the village is rather quiet, and various Yo-kai appear around the area.
In the games[]
This area is exclusive to Psychic Specters. The village is visited during Whistory Lesson, Part 1, Whistory Lesson, Part 2 and Whistory Lesson, Part 3, as Whispocrates and Rudy. It can be visited by the player during the Tamer of Time quest.

Access[]
To gain access to this place, the player must first speak to Whisper sometime after completing the main storyline. He will give the player a total of three requests that need to be completed. After doing these 3 quests, head to Springdale Central station and find Directator. Complete his quest about directing a movie, to gain access to the Tamer of Time request. During that quest this area opens up to the player.
To get to the village afterwards, head to the Miradox next to Old Springdale station at the left, and the player will be transported there, in front of the castle entrance.

Trivia[]
- In the anime and games, it's revealed that Waitington actually left Sawayama to fight in the Battle of Sekigahara, but he never returned home. He even said goodbye to Whispocrates, before leaving and vanishing from history.
