Yo-kai Medallium biography
"Why borrow people's stuff when you can just steal it? Stores his loot in the bag on his head."

Gimme (Japanese: 泥ボックン Dorobokkun) is a Rank A Drain-attribute Yo-kai of the Shady tribe introduced in Yo-kai Watch 2.

Gimme evolves from Yoink starting at level 27.

Biology[]

Gimme has a small body with red skin and a gray circle around his face. He has a wide mouth, thick lips and a blue tongue that is often seen hanging out. He is dressed like a stereotypical burglar, with a green-striped shirt, khaki pants and a purple furoshiki (a wrapping cloth used to store and carry items) wrapped on his head.

Matching his burglar-like appearance, Gimme is a consummate thief, and a very cunning one on top of that, as seen when he disguises himself as Jibanyan and Hidabat in order to fool his victims and snatch their belongings. He has little regard for who he damages with his robbery. Gimme is a master thief; in fact, he is behind among the regular belongings loss at home. He even is a master of disguise, as seen with his impersonations of Jibanyan and Hidabat just to toy with his victims.

Etymology[]

  • "Dorobokkun" is a combination of dorobō (泥棒, "thief, robber") and the honorific -kun, also echoing Yoink's Japanese name.
  • "Gimme" is a contraction of the phrase give me.
  • "Bolsadrón" is a combination of "Bolsa" (Bag) and "Ladrón" (Thief)

Origin[]

Trivia[]

  • When viewed in the Yo-kai Medallium in Yo-kai Watch 2, instead of saying his name of "Gimme," he instead says "Swipinstuff," which was likely the original name he was given, indicating the change to "Gimme" was late enough into development to be unable to re-record the line.
    • This is later fixed in Psychic Specters.
