Yo-kai Medallium biography
"This Yo-kai's legendary dance will bring misfortune to anyone who gets taken in by his fancy moves."

Glumdango (Japanese: アンラッキィさん Anrakkii-san) is a Rank B, Drain-attribute Yo-kai of the Eerie tribe introduced in Yo-kai Watch 3.

Appearances[]

Biology[]

Glumdango has a upright rectangular-shaped head, light skin and dark black hair with short sideburns. He wears a pink shirt, black pants, and dull red shoes with purple socks. He has a happy, yet sad look on his face and a black cat headband on his head. Two small light blue flames are seen beside him.

Profile[]

Yo-kai Watch 3[]

Glumdango is automatically befriended in a Quest. To get the quest, the player has to put Pandle on the Yo-kai Hot spot beside the circus in BBQ during the day. Once done, the Quest will appear in the circus at night.

Relationships[]

Fundango[]

Fundango is the form Glumdango took when running the Night Circus. Fundango's sadness over the closure of the circus caused him to become Glumdango, until Nate helped him revive the circus, causing him to become Fundango once more.

Etymology[]

  • "Glumdango" is a portmanteau of glum (looking or feeling morose) and fandango (a Spanish dance).
  • "Amarguito" is the diminutive of "Amargo" (Bitter) or is a combination of "Amargado" (Embittered) and "Oscurito" (Dark).
  • "Maltango" is a portmanteau of Maledetta (Damned) and Tango (A Rioplatenses' music style).

Origin[]

Glumdango is based on a caricature of Lucky Ikeda, matching the pun with his Japanese name (Unlucky-san) and his appearance being based off his outfits he usually doesn't wears in performances.

Trivia[]

  • Glumdango does not have a real life medal counterpart.
