"The Shadowside of chubby, food-loving Hamham. His own sweat has mostly become somewhat like grease. He floats because he's too slippery to walk after eating most of his oiled ham."

Hamham (Japanese: はむはむ Hamuhamu), also known as Aburaham (Japanese: あぶらハム Aburahamu), is a B Rank Shadowside Yo-kai of the Mononoke Tribe introduced in Yo-kai Watch 4.

Appearances[]

Biology[]

In his lightside form, Hamham is an anthropomorphic hamster. His face and belly is a creamy off-white, while the rest of his fur is colored cyan with dark blue stripes on his cheeks and forehead. He also wears a blue mawashi, and is eating a leg of ham.

As Aburaham, he is much larger and chubbier. He gains white whiskers with a yellow tip, as well as a ponytail of the same fashion. His mawashi now features a cloth with intricate patterning. He is also sitting on a yellow gooey substance, resembling melted cheese.

Etymology[]

Name Origin[]

はむ (Hamu) is the Japanese word for ham and can be short for Hamster (Japanese: ハムスター Hamusutaa).

あぶらハム (Aburahamu) is a portmanteau of (Japanese: 油ハム Abura hamu, meaning "Oiled Ham") and the Japanese word for hamster. It also sounds like the English name Abraham.
