Hungramps (Japanese: ひも爺, Himojī) is a Rank E Shadowside Yo-kai of the Onnen Tribe introduced in Yo-kai Watch Shadowside: The Return of the Oni King.

Specifically, this is the appearance of Hungramps thirty years after the original series.

Biology

In his Lightside form, Hungramps's appearance is very similar to his appearance in the original series. He has dark pink skin, gray eyebrows, and a mustache. The inside of his drooling mouth is dark blue. His eyes are now opened with dark blue scleras and light blue irises. He wears a grey kimono with a blue obi and carries a bowl of rice and chopsticks with him.

In his Shadowside form, his mouth becomes incredibly wide and is filled with drool and many sharp teeth. His eyes have become yellow and now lack pupils. His eyes also have dark bags under them. His pointy head is elongated, resembling a pointed hat, and it's now covered with bite marks. He also wears a dark gray coat now.

He can be found in Soukenzen, Mystic Grove and in Yo-kai Spots and Rifts in Sakuragi Hills. He can be freed from the future Crank-a-kai with an Old Coin, Five-Star Coin or One-Star Coin as a third prize or a Gasha Coin or Y Coin as a free prize. He can also be found in the Gutsy Bones battles in Enma Tournament - Oni Arena as well as in the horse mask, first Oni Orb hunt and Damona (Shadowside) missions in PuraPura Blasters.

In the anime

Yo-kai Watch Shadowside: The Return of the Oni King

Hungramps plays a supporting role in the movie, being the first Yo-kai that Summer befriends, who helps her defeat Sly. He is later one of the Yo-kai that aids her in the fight against Oniou Rasen.

In the manga

Tate summons Himoji.

Himoji attacking the bullies in his Shadowside form.

Hungramps makes his debut in MM04. His keystone is owned by Bruno and given to Summer.

Hungramps reappears in SM001 where he is summoned by Tate to deal with bullies. Although Whisper states Tate can't use him to help as they're not friends, Tate sways him easily by giving him candy. Hungramps transforms into his Shadowside form, using his powers on the bullies to send them running.
