Yo-kai Medallium
"He originally was a Yo-kai piglet, but after continuously drinking the Yo-kai broth boiled in the cauldron of hell, he gained overwhelming strength and excess flesh, becoming his current form."

Hoggles (Japanese: おのぼり黒トン Onobori Kuroton) is a Boss Yo-kai, as well as of the Mononoke tribe as of Yo-kai Watch 4.

Hoggles is the 2nd boss from the Infinite Inferno, needing to be defeated to gain access to the 3rd floor.

In Yo-kai Watch: Wibble Wobble, Hoggles received a friend form, and is a Rank ZZZ Yo-kai of the Eerie tribe.

Appearances[]

Biology[]

His appearance is identical to Sproink, but with a darker color scheme.

Profile[]

Yo-kai Watch[]

Hoggles is fought in the second floor of Infinite inferno, having to be defeated in order to gain access to the third floor.

When confronted, the background shifts to the Hot Springs where Sproink is battled. Whisper even makes a retrospective of their encounter with Sproink.

Yo-kai Watch 2[]

Similarly to the previous game, Hoggles is fought in the second floor of Infinite inferno, having to be defeated in order to gain access to the third floor.

As with the previous game, when confronted, the background shifts to the Hot Springs where Sproink is battled. Whisper makes once again a comment about Hoggles, although it expresses some lack of concern about the Boss himself.

Yo-kai Watch 3[]

Hoggles can be battled in the Blasters T portion of the game. He appears as a boss in the Cluphinx Clenched Paw 1. He is the only one out of his fellow Infinite Inferno bosses, that returns in this game (with the exception of Wobblewok, who does return, but only as a befriendable Yo-Kai)

Attacks[]

Bucket Throw - Hits a Yo-Kai with one of his buckets, dealing damage.

Butt Slam - Jumps into the air and lands to deal damage to the front row.

Slippery Soap - Slides a bar of soap to a Yo-Kai, dealing damage and tripping them up, making them unable to move.

Potbelly Boil! (Soultimate) - If he drops to the floor, attacking the belly button will result in this. Target the head to prevent this from happening.

YWB

Attacks

Bucket Bonk - Attacks a single Yo-kai.

Smoked Bacon - Forcefully exhales fire from his snout. This deals multiple hits.

Pork Drop - Jumps into the air and slams the ground.

Hogwash - Throws a bar of soap at a single Yo-kai, sliming them. It becomes hard to move, so the player must head into one of the tubs. Only used in the bathhouse.

Chuck the Bucket - Throws a bucket in a straight line. Only used in the bathhouse.

Hot Water - Turns one of the tubs into a tub of lava. A switch on the side can turn the lava back into water.

Potbelly Boil! (Soultimate) - Turns 3 random tubs into lava.

CHANCE TIME - After using Potbelly Boil, Hoggles become tired. The player must hit him with an X or Y attack.

Equipment Material

Normal

Hoggles Bucket - A bucket Hoggles tosses and rolls. It’s cheap and common in the underwold.

Hoggles Rope - A rope that Hoggles wears. It’s musty and stained with his sweat.

Super

Crafted Hogbucket - Hoggles’s handmade evil bucket, made from wood in the underworld.

Rough Rope - Even if Hoggles moves furiously, this straw rope won’t cone loose.

Ultra

Shiny Hogbucket - A gold bucket that doesn’t fit Hoggles. It looks great, but it isn’t practical.

Dark Rope - Used for hundreds of years but never washed. It has a dark power.

Soul[]

Soul Effect
Boss Soul Friend Chance becomes a little easier.

Strategy[]

Being a recolor of Sproink, Hoggles has a similar attack scheme. He will either attack by flinging one of his washbuckets at a single Yo-kai for damage, or toss a soap bar under their feet to Inspirit them, making them unable to act. He can also perform a butt stomp that will hit all front Yo-kai. His weakness is his belly button, but since he protects it with his washbuckets you must first target his face so he will shield himself, exposing it in the process. Attacking his belly button enough times will knock him down, but as you keep striking it he will gradually turn red until he gets back on his feet and unleash his Soultimate move, which deals heavy Fire-attribute damage to all front Yo-kai. To avoid it, simply aim all fire at his head instead, and avoid setting off any Soultimate Moves that target all enemies.

Him being stronger than Sproink, the player's team in this battle should be at higher levels.
