Yo-kai Medallium biography
Yo-kai Medallium
"This imposing zombie guards the bell at City Hall. Although no spark of life remains in its eyes, the intensity of its gaze causes people to freeze in their tracks."

Hollow Guard (Japanese: ゲボール不死長 Geboru Fushi-cho) is a Boss Yo-kai introduced in Yo-kai Watch 3.

Appearances[]

Video Games[]

Biology[]

Being a zombie, the Hollow Guard bears many similarities to the other zombies; however. he sports a more stocky build, as well as a wide mouth with prominent teeth and a flame-like hair look on his head. His most notable feature is his heart-like organ shown on his open abdomen. The Hollow Guard wears a ragged vine-colored cape with a puffy collar and brown pants. He carries a rusty mace in his right hand.

Profile[]

Yo-kai Watch 3[]

Two Hollow Guards can be fought during Zombie Night in the City Hall mission.

Strategy[]

The Hollow Guard only has two attacks. The Hollow Guard will swing his mace at the player when the player is in his sight. His other attack involves him moving rapidly and doing damage to the player if they're in the Hollow Guard's path. This attack will only be done if the Hollow Guard gets attacked without spotting the player. After the player hits the Hollow Guard several times, the Hollow Guard will drop the key needed for accessing the second floor.

The Hollow Guard will appear again on the second floor, bearing a second key to access the mourning bell on top of city hall. The player must repeat the same strategy to knock him out again and access the third floor. Once on the third floor, the player must ring the bell, and the mission will be complete.

Etymology[]

"Hollow Guard" is a combination of "hollow," referring to the fact that he is a zombie, and "guard."

Trivia[]

  • The Hollow Guard's medallium entry seems to be written by Dr. Francesca Stein.
    • This is supported by the fact that the Hollow Guard's medallium entry is written more seriously than other medallium entries in Yo-kai Watch 3. Other medallium entries are written in a casual manner.
