In the anime[]
Honmaguro-taishou debuts in SS009. He appears to be swallowing humans who wore a tuna sushi keychain given by Guruguru Sushi, and humans that he swallowed would then appear inside a storehouse on a fish market, having no memories of what happened.
It later turns out that Honmaguro-taishou is, in fact, the deceased owner of Maguro Zanmai, a restaurant nearby Guruguru Sushi, who is looking for his son, Noboru and inherit his tuna recipe to his son. The only hint Honmaguro-taishou had about Noboru is the tuna sushi keychain, which resembles the one given out by Guruguru Sushi, which is why he only targets those holding the keychain.
After Noboru reunited with his father and inherited his recipe, Tate receives Honmaguro-taishou's Yo-kai Keystone.
Etymology[]
Honmaguro-taishou means "Bluefin Tuna Admiral."
Magulodon is a portmanteau of Maguro-don (Japanese: マグロ丼 tuna bowl dish) and Megalodon.
Neptuna is a portmanteau of "Neptune", the Roman God of freshwater and the sea, and "Tuna."
