Insects can be caught by the player near the start of the game. After a day out with their parents, the protagonist meets up with Eddie, Bear and Nate/Katie at Triangle Park and have a bug catching contest. The player has to return to their home to find their bug net. Catching a bug after finding the net then gives the player the Critter Collection app.
