In the anime[]
- Main article: Komajiro (anime)
KJ first appears in Komasan in the City: DJKJ, where Komajiro is shown to have gotten a job at a local nightclub.
Etymology[]
KJ is an abbreviation, using the "K" and "J" from "Komajiro," possibly also for similarity to "DJ." It may also be an homage to Japanese musician Kenshi Furuya, who is in charge of the vocals and instruments of the mixed-genre rock band called Dragon Ash, where others name him "KJ."
DJ Jiro is a combination of DJ and an abbreviation of Komajiro.
Trivia[]
- In one of the animated cutscene stills in Yo-kai Watch Blasters, KJ is seen with a pocket chain accessory, where he isn't seen wearing it in other artwork, or his in-game model.
- KJ does not have a real life medal counterpart.
- KJ's "random" nicknames in Yo-kai Watch 3 are: Shades, Katsura, Pumch, and DJ.
- KJ has an official SoundCloud account that contains the audio for the Hasbro toy "Hip Hop Hero Komajiro."
