Physical traits
Appearance

Katie as a Yo-kai Watch Master, in a parallel timeline.
Katie has black eyes and brown hair tied in a ponytail with a pink ribbon. Her usual outfit consists of a light yellow jacket with teal trimmings, multicoloured buttons and a pink heart at the bottom right front. Underneath she wears a black and white striped top as well as blue shorts, dark grey socks and black trainers with white laces and soles. In the games where she is the main character, she wears her Yo-kai Watch around her neck, which easily disguises the watch as a necklace with a watch pendant.
Her winter outfit consists of a light pink long sleeved jacket with dark pink trims, a white fluffy collar and a teal heart at the bottom right front. She wears her usual top underneath and shorts but now sports dark grey leggings, beige socks and brown shoes.
In M03, Katie sports a different outfit. It consists of a light pink long sleeved top with a small heart on the front bottom right. It seems like she's wearing her usual black and white striped top underneath. She further wears a dark purple (appearing blue in the real world) tiered skirt and beige boots.
In the games, Katie wears pink, long, shirted pyjamas when going to bed. She also wears a swimsuit while visiting the Hot Springs. This consists of a two piece set with a cropped pink strappy top with white spots and a pink wrap skirt. When it's raining she wears a pink raincoat and black wellingtons.
As an adult she wears a pink shirt, and occasionally a white apron. She still keeps the same ponytail hairstyle, just a little longer and she doesn't appear to be wearing her pink hair bow anymore, but instead wears a pink colored ribbon instead.
Personality
Katie is a kind and playful person. She's very popular and often considered cute with a certain charm. When bewitched by Yo-kai, she usually retains her cheerful demeanor but can come off as unintentionally cruel though she seems to never recall these incidents. She's also smart, but also worries about meeting her mother's standards. She is surprisingly brave and comfortable with heights. It also seems that Katie is extremely oblivious whenever it comes to romance.
Profile
Yo-kai Watch
Katie and the group at Triangle Park.
Katie first appears in Chapter 1 with Eddie, Bear and Nate at Triangle Park. Eddie shows off his bug collection, along with Bear, who then asks Katie if she is collecting bugs for her summer project. After saying she hasn't been, Bear and Eddie start taunting her, with Nate defending her. After the group leaves, Katie rushes home to get her Bug Net, determined to catch a rare bug. Heading back to Triangle Park, Katie catches three Green Cicada on three trees, with one of them glowing. Still unsatisfied, Katie remembers the janitor bragging about his bug collection, heading off to the school. The janitor advises her to look around Mt. Wildwood. Katie decides to catch bugs near the shrine, only finding Brown Cicada. Suddenly, the gate of the shrine opens. Katie decides to venture deeper in the woods, finding a gashapon machine in front of the Sacred Tree. Hearing a voice chant "feed me", Katie puts a coin in the machine, causing a ball to come out. Pulling it open, she frees Whisper, who introduces himself as a Yo-kai. He explains how he was sealed by a monk 190 years ago. Weirded out by this, Katie attempts to sneak away, but is caught by Whisper. After expressing that she wants to go back to bug catching, Whisper tells Katie that looking for Yo-kai would be much more exciting. He then grants her the Yo-kai Watch. After explaining it, Whisper tells her there's a Yo-kai in a nearby tree. Scanning it with her Yo-kai Watch, Katie finds Buhu.

Whisper explains the world of Yo-kai to Katie.
Buhu explains that she was having a nap, and attacks Katie in revenge. Wondering how to defend herself, Whisper tells Katie to call her Yo-kai friends. Explaining that she has none, Whisper points out the glowing cicada, who reveals himself as Cadin. Cadin gives Katie his Yo-kai Medal, and does battle with Buhu. After Cadin's victory, Buhu gives Katie her medal, upon which Whisper gives her the Yo-kai Medallium. With Katie still shocked, Whisper explains that they are everywhere, and to make good use of the Yo-kai Watch.
Yo-kai Watch 2
Sometime after defeating McKraken, one night, while sleeping, Kin and Gin steal Katie's Yo-kai Watch, causing her to forget Yo-kai. The next day, after shopping with her parents, Katie meets with Bear and Eddie, who show her their "Mega Watches", causing her to remember having a watch of some kind. After meeting with Nate, the group decides to hold a small bug catching contest, and afterwards get ice cream. After saying goodbye to her friends, Katie finds an old store called the Memory Store, and feels compelled to go in. It ends up run by a man called Nick Nack, who is selling the Yo-kai Watch. Nick Nack sells it to her at a low price, but then gives her back the money and tells her to use it on the Crank-a-kai outside. Using it, it gives her a capsule, which she thinks of as a rock and tosses it away. The capsule then starts berating her to her surprise and tells her to open it. Katie opens it and frees Whisper, and after reliving their first meeting, the Yo-kai Watch restores their memories, as well as their memories of Jibanyan. Katie and Whisper set off to find him in the same intersection, sighting Jibanyan blasting off after being hit by a truck. After restoring Jibanyan's memories, he gives Katie his medal once again, as Katie and Whisper head for the Memory Store again.
Yo-kai Watch Blasters
Katie makes a brief appearance in the Sub Mission exclusive to Moon Rabbit Crew called Yo-kai Watch Blasters if, where Whisper is dragged into the parallel world with Katie Forester as the Yo-kai Watch welder instead.
While there, he is dragged into a routine patrol with Katie's Yo-kai Blasters team which consists of Baddinyan, Shadow Venoct, Goldenyan, and presumably her world's Whisper. She is well-liked among her Yo-kai, as the trio repeatedly pledge their loyalty and determination in protecting her, and even Whisper takes a liking to her by the end of the sub mission (though he is transported back to his world shortly afterwards).
Yo-kai Watch 3
In the quest That Other World... Somewhere!, Nate receives a Fancy That! issue which comes with a mysterious Coin. Upon using it in the Dream Wheel, Nate is abducted by a giant Crank-a-kai capsule and is transported to a parallel world. There he discovers that he has become a Yo-kai, named Fuu 2, and that he had been cranked by Katie.
In this world, Katie was the one who obtained the Yo-kai Watch, moved to BBQ, and has befriended Buck Hazeltine's sister, Dorothy, instead. While Nate enjoys his time as Katie's Yo-kai, he decides to find a way back to his world. He returns to the Dream Wheel and is confronted by Katie's Whisper, who admits he suspected Nate was from another world and allows him to return to his world quietly.
Despite Nate and Katie's Whisper's emotional goodbye, the latter divulges the truth to his master shortly afterwards. Dorothy approaches Nate the following day and introduces Katie in her Yo-kai form, who in turn reintroduces herself as Mee 2. She hands Nate her Yo-kai medal and informs him that the two can transport in-between worlds anytime they want in their respective Yo-kai forms. Returning to Katie's world makes her a playable character once more, sharing Nate's inventory and Yo-kai, though she is limited to exploring BBQ only and cannot undertake any quests.
Like in Blasters, it is implied that Katie is generally well-liked and popular. In BBQ, several citizens happily greet her and the usually distrustful Buck even tries to impress her. Nate also makes note of Katie's Whisper being comparatively "more useful" to her than his one is to him.
Yo-kai Watch
Katie first appears in Chapter 1, defending Nate from Bear and Eddie’s teasing. She next appears in Chapter 3, after having a falling out with Sarah due to Tattletell, but is able to patch things up thanks to Nate befriending Tattletell. She appears at the beginning of Chapter 5, feeling sorry for Bear. In Chapter 9, she joins Nate, Bear and Eddie sneaking into the school at night to see the fireworks, but disappears along with Bear and Eddie after the group sees a mysterious figure. Nate and Whisper soon find out she was mind controlled and kidnapped by Tarantutor, before Nate saves her. The group then watches the fireworks. Her last appearance in the main story is Chapter 11, where she admires the cherry blossoms blooming.
Yo-kai Watch 2
Katie appears in Chapter 1, and participates in the bug catching contest with Nate, Bear and Eddie, before the group gets ice cream and splits up. She appears briefly at the beginning of Chapter 8. Her last appearance during the main story is Chapter 10, where she can be interacted with during the Uptown Springdale bad future, telling Nate not to tell her about his toilet related activities.
After a key quest in Chapter 7, the player can interact with her to participate in the C-1 Grand Prix in Uptown Springdale.
Yo-kai Watch Blasters
Katie appears in the sub-mission "Bottom-of-the-Barrel Blasters" where Nate calls the Blasters, mentioning how she was dissapointed. Jibanyan and Whisper flashback to a former mission where they were asked by Nate to help find a Yo-kai to make him seem cool, to impress Katie. Whisper promised he could help Nate find one, and made the Blasters help him, bribing Jibanyan with Choco-bars. But instead of befriending a "cool" Yo-kai to help Nate, Whisper instead got Cheeksqueek, Blazion or Hungramps to help him, leading to Nate being embarassed in front of Katie instead.
Yo-kai Watch 3
Katie does not return as a fully-playable character in Yo-kai Watch 3, with Hailey Anne Thomas taking her role as the game's playable female secondary protagonist. She is briefly seen in Uptown Springdale's re-introduction and can be spotted walking down the street near her house.
Yo-kai Watch 4
Katie appears in Yo-kai Watch 4. Initially, she appears in Chapter 1 after Nate defeats Mimikin, looking from afar how Nate thinks of her, to which she reacts oddly and leaves.
She becomes a playable character later on in the game, near the end of Chapter 5. While Nate and the rest of the Shadowside Detective Agency have trouble trying to beat Toadal Dude, Arachnus and Venoct and Kyubi from the future, under control of Fukurou's possession, Katie notices a mysterious dog, Naviwan who leads her all the way to the Crank-a-kai at Mt. Wildwood.
She cranks the capsule, to find a mysterious watch and meets Junior, who tells her all about Yo-kai. The Yo-kai warns her about Nate and the others in danger, so they go around to help him out.
In battle, Katie is a healer. The weapon Katie uses in battle for melee attacks is a paper fan.Game data

Katrielle Layton and the Millionare's Conspirancy

Relationships
Humans
Nate, Bear, and Eddie
In the games, her relationships are much the same as Nate's - she shares his circle of friends (notably, Barnaby and Edward), and is also friends with Nate himself.
Naturally, as the single girl in a group of main boys, it's been suggested by other characters that Katie is romantically involved with her friends. For example, during the "Eddie's Search" chapter of the game (only when Katie is the chosen protagonist), Whisper believes that Eddie and Katie's meeting at the museum was a date, and after Katie denies this, he teasingly reinforces his point by referring to it as a "non-date." Even Eddie's mom suspects romantic inclinations, as is proven if the protagonist speaks with her after the chapter. The mother asks, "It wasn't a date, was it?"
In another chapter of the game, Nate (only when he is the chosen protagonist) is unable to meet with Katie because she has an argument with her friend. Later it is discovered that she was being inspirited by the Yo-kai Tattletell. However, if Katie is chosen as the protagonist, it would be the other way around.
In Yo-Kai Watch 4, Katie is the same as before until she became a Watch Master herself, she was surprised of Nate's involvement with Yo-Kai as she helps them to stop Fukurou, she ask Nate if he has been dealing with Yo-Kai on daily basis, he eventually admits even not usually, but he encourages her to save Fukurou, while declaring he will protect her, which she gladly accepts.
After that, she decided to join the Yo-Kai Detectives after begging her father to let her stay from her trip, which made Nate more cheerful, in return, Katie is amazed of how Nate is incredible of making friends with Yo-Kai during his trial of preparation against Overseer. During the night, she and Nate had a heart-to-heart talk about their Yo-Kai adventures, which she reveals that she's been watching Nate's behaviour towards Yo-Kai before she became as a Watch Master, which she tells him that she is glad to meet the Yo-Kai with him. During Summer and the Yo-Kai Detectives' departure, she tells Nate to always be close friend towards Katie, who addressed her as Mom while him as Dad, which shocks the two of them. While Nate is confused, it is implied Katie secretly realized that Nate could be her future husband as she smiled upon realizing this fact.
Sarah and Chelsea
Katie is usually seen talking with a group of other girls in her class, among them Sarah. She seems to be in good terms with her. In the first game, Sarah is the most prominent friend of Katie outside Nate's group.
Yo-kai
Whisper
If chosen as the protagonist in the games, Whisper is Katie's self proclaimed Yo-kai butler.
In the Sukiyaki version of Yo-kai Watch 3, when Nate travels to a parallel world where Katie has the Yo-kai Watch, her version of Whisper is much more reliable and wise compared to his real world version who is the complete opposite of him.
In the manga Nyanderful Days, he is also her self proclaimed Yo-kai butler. In chapter 15 of Nyanderful Days, it's revealed in a dream eaten by Baku, that Whisper's dream is to become a splendid butler who turns Katie into a lady who befriends every single Yo-kai in the world.
Jibanyan
In Nyanderful Days, Jibanyan is very attached to Katie. He tries to cling onto her any chance he gets.
Fukurou
In Yo-kai Watch 4, Katie meets Fukurou before she receives her Yo-kai Watch. She consoles him when he's feeling low and is the main reason he doesn't die after being defeated unlike in the anime. When talking to Fukurou in the Sumo Ring, he always seems pleased to see Katie again.
