In December 2017, Maiko left King Cream Soda for undisclosed reasons and was replaced by Japanese female singer-songwriter Sayaka Komuro. At that time, King Cream Soda had temporarily changed their name and logo to King Cream Soda., with a period added at the end of their group name. For the Yo-kai Watch Shadowside anime, they performed both of the ending themes.
