Kitchou Enma appeared in the "New Year Special: Yo-kai First Visit to the Shrine 2025 ~YO! YO! New Enma! Check it out!~" Event that lasted from January 1, 2025, to January 16, 2025. He could be befriended after completing the Collect the You-Youki (Japanese: 陽妖気を集めよう Yō-yōki o Atsumeyou) set of missions, the requirements were:
- Clear stage 18 (KJ's boss stage) on the New Year's Day Shrine Approach (Japanese: 元旦神社・参道 Gantan Jinja Sandō) map.
- Get 42 stars in the New Year's Day Shrine Approach (Japanese: 元旦神社・参道 Gantan Jinja Sandō) map.
- Clear the 2nd hidden stage (Chi Ma Tree) located in the New Year's Day Shrine Approach (Japanese: 元旦神社・参道 Gantan Jinja Sandō) map. You need to link 27 or more Wib Wobs at once on stage 25 (Verygoodsir).
- Clear stage 28 (Sunk'nsoul's boss stage) with Minus Enma on the team twice.
- Clear the 3rd hidden stage (Lord Ananta) located in the Happy New Year - Yo-kai World (Japanese: 賀正・妖魔界 Gashō Yōmakai) map.
- Complete Professor Plumage's quizzes 5 times. He spawns randomly on stages located in the Happy New Year - Yo-kai World (Japanese: 賀正・妖魔界 Gashō Yōmakai) map.
- Clear the Inin Oni impossible stage with Plus KJ on the team. The stage is located in the Back: New Year's Day Shrine (Japanese: 裏・元旦神社 Ura Gantan Jinja) map.
- Clear Plus KJ punitto shot boards at least 6 times.
- Clear Plus KJ punitto shot boards at least 12 times.
- Buy one You-Youki in the event shop for 1,000 Super Mochi Assistance Power.
He gave more Y-points to the players in Plus Komasan and Plus KJ punitto shot boards. Aditionally he could be fought in stage 46 located in the Happy New Year - Enma's Grain Shop (Japanese: 賀正・エンマ屋穀 Gashō Enma-ya Koku) map, if you clear the stage and gain all three stars you can get rewards for completing the Challenge Stage Strategy (Japanese: チャレンジステージ攻略 Charenjisutēji Kōryaku) mission set.
Giving him S Book: Kitchou Enma gives a chance to get more power in future punitto shot boards.
