In the Anime

Kuroi Bushinyan appeared in the last Kuroi Yo-kai Watch anime segment. He was being released from prison, and Kuroi Jibanyan and Kuroi Komasan came to greet him, apparently to pay him some respects as his elder, while in truth they aimed to gain his money in order to spend it.

As they were suggesting the idea to get some money, Kuroi Bushinyan tried to reach his bankbook, only to fall into a delusion and mistake a tall skyscraper with the castle belonging to the lord he served. He hurriedly comes to greet his clearly-long deceased master, only to run onto the entrance to an exhibition, and when asked for his pass, he attacks the guard with his sword, to which he states sneak attacks are "fair play" in the battlefield, only for Kuroi Jibanyan and Kuroi Komasan to call him scummy.

After arriving to his run-down appartment, Kuroi Bushinyan has fun at expenses of Kuroi Jibanyan and Kuroi Komasan by having them opening his drawers only to trick them with traps. Finally, when he's to reach for the map for the location of his buried money, he knocks his foot with the leg of his table and his skeleton shatters from bottom to top, falling dead. Realizing this, Kuroi Jibanyan and Kuroi Komasan undress him and wonder if they can sell his armor for a bit of money, from which his Kuroi Medal drops.
