Kuroi Venoct was available in the event "Black Yo-kai Watch -Black Dianyan" that ran from August 17, 2019, to August 31, 2019. He appeared in the hidden stage and had to be defeated in battle to be randomly befriended, giving more Y-points to the player after popping the point balls and clearing the stage in the event map.

In the anime[]
Kuroi Venoct first appeared in the Yo-kai Watch anime mini-series Kuroi Watch, where Kemushi-otoko, Kuroi Jibanyan and Kuroi Komasan were searching for humans to transform into Yo-kai.
Kuroi Venoct is know as the king of scum for he is the scummiest Kuroi Yo-kai; he often stages heroics by commanding the dragons on his scarf to attack people so he can "save" the person and then charges them money.
Kuroi Venoct was swallowed easily by the Kuroi Yo-kai Watch because he was arguing with his own dragons, and ended up as its fourth victim.
