Let's Go to Y-Gakuen (Japanese: Y学園ヘ行こう Y Gakuen he ikou) is a song that was made to promote M06. Five different versions of the song were made, with each of them having different musical styles, except that the lyrics are all the same. They were sung by five different Japanese utaites.

Out of all the versions, the School Slapstick one ended up being the most popular, and was used as the opening theme for the movie. The anime would later use the song as an ending theme, with each episode switching between different variants.

Overview

This song has been released in five different versions, each of them having a different sound and music genre, whilst having the same lyrics that are timed differently in each one.

The first one is called Waiwai (Japanese: ワイワイ編 waiwai-hen), which features an electronic-dance style to it, and is sung by Lon.

The second one is called Sprint (Japanese: 疾走編 shissō-hen), which has the lyrics performed in a rather fast manner, fitting with the title of the version. It is sung by 96neko.

The third one is called 8bit (Japanese: 8bit編 8bit-hen), which as the title suggests, features a heavy 8-bit synth, with the video being made up of video game sprites. It is sung by Soraru.

The fourth one is called Youth Rock (Japanese: 青春ロック編 Seishun rokku-hen), which is sung by Alfakyun.

The fifth one is called School Slapstick (Japanese: 学園ドタバタ編 Gakuen dotabata-hen), which the song itself features a comedic take, along with the video, which is reminiscent of a video game. It is sung by Riinu.

The School Slapstick version ended up being the most popular, racking up a total of 350,000 views on YouTube, and was picked as the opening theme for the movie.[1]
