Lie-in (Japanese: 獅子まる, Shishimaru) is a Rank E Ice-attribute Yo-kai of the Brave tribe introduced in Yo-kai Watch 2.

Lie-in evolves into Lie-in Heart at level 26^YW2, 30^YWB, 35^YW3, and 36^YWWW.

Biology

Lie-in is a little white lion cub with yellow eyebrows to match the inside of his ears. He has a big pale pink nose, cheeks, and he looks like he's crying with his eyes always shut. He has pale, ice blue hair that frames his face with solid white highlight on the end. At his neck's ice blue fur to match the little flame on the end of his tail. He wears a pale tan outfit with a burnt-orange sash, dark blue pants to match his wristbands, and yellow sandals. His sword's in a metallic-red sheath.

Lie-in can be befriended in the Bony Spirits exclusive quest Train Lie-in With Pride on Mt. Middleton.

He can also be found in the Tucked Away Lot in Blossom Heights, on Mystery Way - Back Road, in a Gate of Whimsy battle room or freed from the Crank-a-kai machine with a Red Coin in the past.

Lie-in has two equipment slots.

He can also be found in Blasters T in the Cluphinx Clenched Paw ①.

Lie in can be found in stage 10, 27, 50, 56, 102, 191, 240, 278 and secret stage 4-8 in Sewer D, 9-7 and 13-62 in the Infinite Inferno, 17-10, 18-10, 19-12 and 22-44 in the Divine Paradise and hidden stage 22 in Harrisville.

He can also be freed from the Crank-a-kai with a Cheerful Coin, a Mystery Coin and a Red Coin.

• "Lie-in" is a pun on lion and "lie in" (a colloquial term for intentional oversleeping).
• "Shishimaru" combines shishi (獅子, "lion") with maru (丸), a suffix typical of boy/sword names.
• "Dormileón" is a pun on "Dormilón" (sleepyhead) and "León" (lion).
• "Leonidös" is a portmanteau of Leonidas and dösen (snoozing).
• "Leopigro" is a portmanteau of "leone" (lion) and pigro (lazy).
• «Задремлев» is a pun on «задремать» (doze off) and «лев» (lion).

Trivia

• Lie-in resembles the main protagonist of Kaiketsu Lion-Maru, a tokusatsu show in the 1970's featuring a samurai with a white-furred lion head.
• The train Lie-in with pride quest is a subtle reference to Dragon Ball Z’s Saiyan saga. With Siro being Piccolo and Lie-in being Gohan.
