Lime Ashiya (Japanese: 芦矢ライム Ashiya Raimu) is a major character who appears in the Y School Heroes series. He is a first year Y-High School student, specializing in scholarship and is also Vice President of the Student Council.
He can transform into the Majin Hero, Ashura Gilfer when inspirited by Terramin or Terranog via the Majin Watch.
Appearances[]
- Y School Heroes: Major Protagonist
Physical Traits[]
Lime Ashiya's appearance shares distinct similarities to Jinpei Jiba such as his hairstyle except with a green color, and a standard male Y High School uniform with a yellow tie, yellow buttons and a yellow stripe. He also wears a Y High School medallion and a student council band. He wears black pants with brown shoes that have white soles.
Though he can be a serious and obedient person at times, he also tends to be his own person in some certain situations and doesn't take lightly to any mistakes he ends up causing or any instances where he thinks about things going wrong for him.
Because Lime was born from Ozma in the form of an unexpected human being rather than an Enemo, he can morph any part of his body to destroy objects in sight with a laser-like weapon most notably from his arm. Lime also owns a Maijin Watch, where he can transform into the Yo-kai Hero Ashura Gilfer and later on, Terranog.

Lime Ashiya was born on an unspecified planet in the middle of the badlands as a sphere at night from Ozma, before it was formed into a human-like shape. When he awakened, he saw the gigantic monstrous figure of Ozma and temporarily lived with each other in the wild.
One day, when he wondered the reasoning for why he was created in the form of a human, he tries to find civilization consisted of human-like beings and ended up discovering Atlantis where he met a kind woman named Amana Etramus.

Lime and Lana Amate arriving in the present, to find help in Y High School.
They both lived a normal life with each other for some period of time until Amana Etramus foresaw that Ozma ends up destroying the city. Finding out that the city's futuristic armory was futile against the monster, they decided to seek help elsewhere by travelling to the future and to another planet called Earth, going undercover as regular Y-High School students for a set period of time.
Y School Heroes[]
Lime Ashiya first appears in the ending theme Space Mystery Boogie, as a cloaked figure of some sort.
Lime then makes his first anime debut in YG053, where Mataro Tamada sees him as Jinpei Jiba's doppelganger, roaming around the dormitory area in the morning, wearing a Y Academy uniform. Jinpei soon meets him later on along with other members of the YSP Club, but an incident unexpectedly arises, where Lime gains the upper hand by using his Yo-kai Hero form.
A war happens between the Y Academy and Y High School students in YG058 where Jinpei and Lime duel with each other in their Yo-kai Hero forms, and Jinpei tries to change Lime's heart on his alignment but fails and continues to fight. It's not until T-Dus' power within Mataro stops the war which makes everyone understand the truth, except that Lime hastily disagrees with the war ending and continues to fight with Jinpei except in his regular form.
Bousou Maten Soranaki suddenly appears from the ground Lime, Jinpei and the others end up joining forces to combine their power and both seemingly reconcile after Maten Bousou Soranaki's defeat. Jinpei brings up his emotional memory of his younger self learning of his mother's death when his father was hospitalized after injuring his foot, where he was saddened that he couldn't help her. That memory also makes Lime ponders to himself if he really has family.
In YG059, Lime tries to do some confidential research regarding the Maijin Watch's origins, where Lana Amate offers to help out with him. Mataro unexpectedly learns of this after he looks for the public bathrooms. When Maten Bousou Soranaki re-emerges from Mataro, Lime gives a Maijin Watch to him, which makes the Yo-kai's power transfer itself into the Y Medal.
Lime and the others make their way to the past via a temporal wormhole, in a futuristic-looking city called Atlantis in YG060, where on the way to a landmark shows that he can control Enemo to make them disappear at his command and reveals himself to the YSP Club that he comes from that location along with telling them about the unexpected destruction that could potentially happen in the future.
When the structure started to collapse, Lime saves Fubuki with his powers, where Lime confesses that he wasn't human. Jinpei and the others comforted Lime which makes him feel happy about who he is, until an alarm suddenly goes off revealing that Ozma has started to emerge as expected from the foreseeing. They all attempt to evacuate until they're surrounded by vehicles that go corrupt from Ozma's tampering with the power supplies, leaving with no choice but to fight them as Depuropusu.
The corrupt enemy proves to be too powerful for the YSP Club, until Lime is given a Y Medal by Lana Amate's assistants giving him a new Yo-kai Hero transformation called Terranog, charged with energy from Emeno. His attacks manage to be strong at first until Ozma further tampers with the power source, making them both vulnerable but Lana gives Terranog one last push and defeats Depuropusu.
In YG061, Lime and Lana explain to the YSP Club that they have an estimated 48 hours to defeat Ozma otherwise Atlantis would permanently be destroyed, while Lime wishes to face him on his own. In spite of the oncoming disastrous occurrence, they treat them all to a buffet. Later when Jinpei finds Lime relaxing on top of the building, Lime tells him about how he was created despite Jinpei falling asleep to his story.
The next morning, everybody else wishes Lime luck on facing Ozma but gets worried on not being able to beat him due to sharing the same energy source, but the YSP Club decide to join him so they could combine their powers which manages to reassure Lime. While Lime and the others make their way to the badlands, Lana Anate shows them some ruins that are of a legendary hero that would potentially put a stop to Ozma's destruction of Atlantis which makes Lime slowly doubt about his Yo-kai Hero form Terranog not being able to stop him.
When they all find Terranog, Lime and the others except for Mataro confront the monstrosity by transforming into their Yo-kai Hero forms. They first try to eliminate the Ozma Enemy beings that come from Ozma, but they keep endlessly reproducing one another. Terranog decides to confront Ozma at full-force, where he tries to slice him apart, but it ends up healing itself. After the other Yo-kai Heroes combine their teamwork with one another, Lime tries to finish off Ozma while claiming to be a "protector of Atlantis", but is suddenly stopped in a fit of sorrowful rage and stops everybody else.
Lime reveals to everyone that he was born from one of Ozma's spheres in YG062, where he shows what his true purpose originally was and attacks everybody else as Terranog. After managing to defeat everyone else, Lime shows them an inevitable future where technology goes too far and ends up turning Earth into a barren wasteland with lava and no sign of mankind. Jinpei doubts this because the present time doesn't have any of those problems and tries to fight him, until Jinpei again tries to change his ways.
Jinpei brings up another childhood experience where he believes that all lives along the line are connected, even of his deceased mother where he learned of his from his father, but Lime angrily doesn't believe him and doubts that Jinpei is a human being even after bonding with each other. Jinpei, now antagonizing Lime orders everybody else to combine their powers to defeat Terranog and manages do so, making him fall to the ground.
Jinpei suddenly hallucinates of himself and Lime falling in their regular forms, where Lime admits defeat but Jinpei tries to confess that he is friends with him which suddenly makes him fully realize their friendship with each other and reaches his hand out for Jinpei but back in the real world, he is swallowed by Ozma and ends up getting stronger. Ozma, now apparently under control from Lime's revitalized mindset tries to make his way to Atlantis but is stopped by a legendary hero called Earthman, powered from the forces of everybody else.
Realizing that Lime is within Ozma, Earthman reaches into its stomach to rescue him under Jinpei's influence and successfully defeats Ozma once and for all. Lime is suddenly stunned at Jinpei actually saving him, where they both finally realize their friendship with each other. Lord Enma and Zazel fully reassure Lime about the worst possible outcomes of the future. One of Lana Amate's retainers suddenly break news about plans to build UFOs, where it was soon announced at a ceremony in Atlantis, and all depart from their homeland while Lime bids farewell to everybody else.
