Yo-kai Watch 3
Lionguist is the first friendly 'Merican Yo-kai Nate meets at the beginning of the storyline. This Yo-kai inspirits Nate's father to help him overcome the slang (English language barrier in the Japanese and other foreign-language versions) and accents with a neighbor of theirs. After a battle, Lionguist becomes friends with Nate and allows him to understand the lingo spoken.
Damage boost based on the number of 'Merican Yo-kai.
"Peraperaion" is a portmanteau of perapera (onomatopoeia equivalent to "bla bla", typically used for foreigners speaking without being understood; also used for the flapping of pages) and the English lion.
Lionguist is derived from the portmanteau of lion and linguist.
Lionguist's design is based on the stereotype of western tourists walking around town and trying to converse with locals with a language dictionary in hand.
Lionguist's long nose is fake, as shown in his idle animation where he detaches his nose and puts it back on.
