Yo-kai Watch Wiki

Loiter (Japanese: さまよう怪魔 Samayō Kaima) are Drain-attribute Wicked Yo-kai which possess Classic Yo-kai into Wicked Servants.

Biology[]

Loiters sort-of resemble Whisper and have slender dark purple wispy bodies. They have red eyes, teal tongues, and rows of sharp teeth on the top and bottom of their mouths. A red flame is spotted on the top of their heads.

Just like Flicker and Schemer this Yo-kai has the ability to shoot a translucent beam at his opponents.

Loiters can also make people and Yo-kai turn into their wicked counterparts just like Flicker and Schemer.

Powers and Abilities[]

Like Schemer and the Flicker, Loiter has the power to possess Classic Yo-kai and turn them into Wicked Servants.

In the anime and movies[]

Loiter, Flicker and Schemer on M01[1] appear as grunts of Dame Dedtime being defeated as an army.

Loiter, Flicker and Schemer make a brief appearance in EX007.

Etymology[]

His Japanese name Samayō Kaima (Japanese: さまよう怪魔) translates into Wandering Monster.

His English name uses the word Loiter meaning "Waiting without a purpose". Oddly enough his English name actually means to opposite of his Japanese name.

His German name Grämamba is a portmanteau of "grämen" (to grieve) and "Mamba".

His spanish name Transeúntio is a portmanteau of "transeúnte" (passerby) and "tío" (guy).

Trivia[]

  • Ironically, Loiter is the only one between Schemer and Flicker to use the opposite of what his Japanese name means.
