(Japanese: 妖怪スイッチ！,Yōkai Suitchi!) and Going Hunting: Walkappa (Japanese: ひと狩り行くズラ！～ノガッパ～,Hitokari Ikuzura! 〜 Nogappa 〜) is the 3rd episode of the Yo-kai Watch♪ anime series. It was broadcasted in Japan on April 23, 2021.
When Nate's mom asks him to shop, he encounters a Yo-kai called "Supoor Hero" who makes the possessed person poor in any way. It seems that he was aiming to take the wallet from Nate and make him poor, but what Nate had was not a wallet but a smartphone. Now is the age of cashless payments, no cash. Supoor Hero, who learns about it, appears in an outrageous action.
The Hidden Power of Whisper[]
Knowing that there is a legendary fortune teller who sees all the hidden abilities of Yo-kai with the power of a dragon, Whisper thinks that if he finds a new ability, he should become a popular Yo-kai, so he visits the fortune teller. However, it was the Yo-kai "Draggie" who was there. He has you to occupy it immediately, but there is nothing reflected in Draggie's crystal ball.
The calendar on the 4-Komasan segment matches that of the year 2021, along with the similar airdate for the episode.
One of the silhouetted Yo-kai on the list resembles that of Mataro Tamada, while the Yo-kai under it is actually a figure resembling Amabie, a Japanese mermaid or merman that is said to emerge from the sea in the middle of an epidemic, and heals everyone, and a Yo-kai that resembles a cross between Mimikyu and Pikachu from Pokémon.
This is the first episode of a Yo-kai Watch anime series to use CGI backgrounds, aside from the movies, that being used in the final segment for rolling grass fields.
Errors[]
In the first shot before Whisper accidentally presses the Yo-kai Switch instead of the table bell, the former isn't seen until the shot afterwards despite being in the exact same angle.
After Draggie wipes the sweat from his face, his snout is drawn too big.
Komasan is erroneously drawn with a thumb in the first part of the Hitokari Ikuzura segment, before eventually appearing without them later on.
