While Nate was playing with Bear and Eddie, saying long, cool words from their textbooks, Katie started telling stories from her past. And even other classmates followed suit, showing no signs of stopping at all. It was the work of "Babblong," a Yo-kai that makes the stories of those it inspirits last a lot longer than they should. Babblong says he will stop if Nate can say a longer word in a contest, while Nate summons "Poofessor" to challenge him to a long-word duel.

The Yo-kai were living peacefully in the Yo-kai world. Then one day, Walkappa is attacked by someone. Shogunyan happens to pass by the scene and is entrusted by Walkappa with a secret book that he has hidden away. It is an important document concerning the life of Lord Enma, and he is asked to give it to Lord Enma. As Shogunyan heads to deliver the secret book to Lord Enma, assassins attack him one after another to steal the secret book. Will Shogunyan be able to deliver it safely to Lord Enma?
