Maou Koi (Japanese: 魔王コイ Maō Koi) is a Boss Yo-kai which appears in Yo-kai Sangokushi.
In Yo-kai Sangokushi: Kunitori Wars, he is a Yo-kai of the Slippery tribe.

Maou Koi resembles a mermaid; the tip of his tail is a gradient purple and white, and he has some white scales on the base of his tail. His tail is blue, similarly to his pants and shirt. His shirt has long sleeves, and he wears white shoes. The tail appears to be attached to him, but his legs are still separate from it. He has a large, red ring surrounding him, with a cut in the middle. He sits on the ring. He wears a pair of glasses, which appear to have catfish whiskers hanging from them. He also has two "fins" sticking from his face, and bushy eyebrows. His eyes are slanted and his hair is a dirty yellow, with two pastel blue antlers sticking out from his hair. The antlers resemble coral, and he has a black cape.

Yo-kai Sangokushi[]
Maou Koi can be found after clearing The Case of the Warlord Yo-Kai Attack series. FILE 1 is a mission at the Mt. Wildwood Shrine, FILE 2 is at the Bernstein House in Blossom Heights, FILE 3 is at the Nocturne Hospital, and FILE 4 is at the Springdale Business Tower.
After clearing the missions, there will be another series of missions named "Three Countries God". Three Countries God Ⅰ is located at the Springdale Business Tower, like FILE 4, Three Countries God Ⅱ is located at the Springdale Hot Springs, and finally, Three Countries God Ⅲ is where Maou Koi shows up. It takes place at Kohinata Station.

Maou Koi has a series of interesting attacks:
Koikoi Attack - (コイコイアタック) Attacks in the front 2x3 squares, and does large damage.
Frustrated? - (びっくらコイた？) A huge number of 7x7 squares will be targeted, and will do large damage if any Yo-kai is unfortunate to be caught in its range. After the attack is over with, Maou Koi will move to the center of its range.
Buckkoi! - (ばっちコォーイ！) Any Yo-kai around Maou Koi will be affected for large damage.
Koi Guzzling - (コイのガブ飲み) The simplest attack out of any of these. Maou Koi just takes a sip of his drink, and regains health.
I'm On The Chopping Block! - (まな板の上の俺様) This is Maou Koi's Soultimate, and he'll be sure to let the player know that. It targets all 7x7 squares around Maou Koi, and does nearly four times the damage of his other attacks. Luckily, it takes two turns to charge, so it can be avoided if the player's Yo-kai aren't too slow.
Etymology[]
The name, "Koi," is both derived from "Hisashi Koinuma" and the Japanese word for "carp." The title of "Maou" means "Devil" or "Demon Lord."
Origin[]
He is based on one of the producers of Yo-kai Sangokushi, Hisashi Koinuma.

- Maou Koi is one of four Yo-kai based on corporate executives and producers involved with particular Yo-kai Watch games, others include Hinozall (and his variants), Dai Maou Shibu, and Morishi Taitei.
