Matt, Don't Give Up! is a Key Quest in Yo-kai Watch 2. The quest can be started by talking to Daniel in the Elementary School Yard. It is recommended to be completed around Level 2. Since it is a Key Quest, the player is forced to complete it to progress with the story.
Quest[]
By talking to Daniel, the player is told that Matt is playing unfairly in a game of football and ask them to investigate. Whisper then senses a Yo-kai that could be causing the problem, prompting the player to use the Yo-kai Lens, which reveals the Yo-kai known as the Nosirs. The player then battles and defeats them, who in turn stop inspiriting Matt. The player then asks Matt about the football game again, this time Matt coming to his senses and agreeing with Daniel, ending the quest.

Pre-quest[]
- Matt seems to be acting strangely, find out what's happening a the soccer field.
During quest[]
- Matt is refusing to accept that Daniel's shot went in! Something's not right here. There must be a Yo-kai nearby! I'll try using the Yo-kai Lens to see who's lurking near Matt!
Quest complete[]
- Without the Nosirs in the way, Matt admitted that Daniel's shot had gone in. The argument is over! Matt's still talking kind of funny, though. I wonder if that'll ever go away.

- The Nosirs can be found below the goal with the Yo-kai Lens.
Trivia[]
- This is the second Key Quest in the game.
- The player asks to befriend the Nosirs, to which they pretend to agree to before disappearing, stating they aren't quite persuaded yet.
