Mochismo initially appears as a kakumochi (square rice cake) with thin arms and stubby feet, a strip of nori resembling pants wrapped around his waist. Normally he has a nearly featureless face with thin eyes and mouth and a burn mark that resembles a blush, but when angry a scowling face with flushed cheeks pops out and his arms get bulkier and stronger-looking.
Mochismo can give people spontaneous bouts of super strength, as he caused Nate's mom to lift a couch without difficulty.
In the manga, he makes people slow by placing mochi at their feet.
Mochismo plays a minor role in the game's storyline, during Protect The Seals!. He's one of the Yo-kai from the Yo-kai World that are inspiriting humans, and hides behind the seal next to the Springdale Community Center.
Mochismo appears under vending machines and cars by the Fish Place, and in long grass in Uptown Springdale, and in the Secret Byway in Blossom Heights. He can be found in trees in Blossom Heights on a team with Helmsman, under cars and vending machines on a team with Darumacho and in garbage on a team with Tattletell. Also, he appears as an enemy Yo-kai alongside two Suspicionis in one of the chapters.
Mochismo can be found on the first and third floors of Springdale Elementary School at night and on the second floor on a team with Mimikin and Mynimo.
Alternatively, he can once more be freed from the present Crank-a-kai with a Red Coin.
