Yo-kai Watch Wiki

Mortimer Goodsight (Japanese: チョーシ堂の店主 Chōshi-dō no Tenshu) is a non-playable Yo-kai introduced in Yo-kai Watch.

He is always disguised as a human and is the owner of the Timers & More watch shop.

Appearance[]

In his human disguise, Mr. Goodsight looks like a wrinkly old man with wild, white, curly hair, and bushy eyebrows.

He wears a monocle on his right eye and a red knit cap on his hat. His shirt is yellow and he wears a green vest over it.

Personality[]

Mr. Goodsight is a kind old man who loves his job of fixing and upgrading Yo-kai Watches.

Relationships[]

Nathan Adams/Katie Forester and Whisper[]

He befriends the player and Whisper in the first game after they retrieve his underwear, and remains a valuable ally afterward.

Abilities and Powers[]

He appears to be a skilled watchmaker, being able to easily upgrade the player's Yo-kai Watch up to S-Rank.

History[]

Yo-kai Watch[]

After beating Slimamander, Whisper suggests that the player might need to upgrade their Yo-kai Watch's rank, in order to be able to fight and befriend stronger Yo-kai.

They go to Mr. Goodsight's shop in Blossom Heights just down the street of Bear's place to have him work on the watch, and he tells them to bring him a cog, a screw, and a spring to do it. However after they bring him those items he reveals that he can't do any work without his lucky underwear, which he forgot at the public bath.

Once the player returns his underwear, which took fighting through Terror Time and Sproink to obtain, he begins to work on upgrading the Yo-kai Watch to Rank D, not knowing that Sproink has since worn his lucky underwear.

Afterward, Mr. Goodsight will keep upgrading the Yo-kai Watch through Requests, with said Requests entailing have the player defeat some Yo-kai first, to prove that they're capable of handling more power already.

Trivia[]

  • Although he is actually a Yo-kai, his true form hasn't been revealed as of yet.
  • He is not named in the Japanese versions, and is only ever referred to as "Chōshi-dō Tenshu" (Chōshi-dō being the Japanese name of Timers & More).
