Moskevil (Japanese: ジャネガブーン, Janegabuun) is a Rank C, Drain-attribute Yo-kai of the Shady tribe introduced in Yo-kai Watch.

Moskevil evolves from Negatibuzz starting at level 17^YW, 32^YW3, or 18^YWW.

In Yo-kai Watch 3 and Yo-kai Watch Blasters, he is one of the Yo-kai required to unlock Poofessor. In Yo-kai Watch World, he is one of the Yo-kai required to unlock Spoilerina. In Yo-kai Watch Busters 2, he is one of the Yo-kai required to unlock Re-Q-Perate.

Biology

Moskevil is a larger, moth-like version of Negatibuzz. His robe is purple and his hands are like a witch. He has a pair of brown moth-like antennae on his head. His wings have become a bluish-grey and become moth-like. His nose is now curved and golden, and gained a drill flute-like ridge.

Moskevil can have people fall into the most dark pits of despair.

Moskevil also appears on trees everywhere in Uptown Springdale, and on the 1st floor of the Construction Site at night in Downtown Springdale.

Etymology

• "Janegabuun" combines ja (Japanese: 邪, evil, In the On reading), negative and buun, which is the Japanese onomatopoeia for an insect's buzzing.
• "Moskevil" is a corruption/portmanteau of the word mosquito and evil.
• In Spanish, "Deprisquito" is a combination of depresivo (depressant) and mosquito.
• In Italian, "Malazanz" is a combination of malaria (malaria), male (evil) and zanzara (mosquito).
• In German, "Schlimskito" is a combination of "schlimm" (bad) and "Moskito" (mosquito).
