Etymology [ ]
Nō Sankyū-nyūdō continues the wordplay its previous form had into "no thank-you monk" (Japanese : ノーサンキュー入道 , Nō Sankyū Nyūdō ) .
No Sandkyu is a wordplay on both the English phrase "no thank you" with a portmanteau of "Sand" and the first half of its Japanese name.
"Desaranecido" is a wordplay on "Desagradecido" (Unthankful) with "Arena" (Sand).
"Mont merci" is a portmanteau with "mont" (mount) and "non merci" (no thank you).
Trivia [ ]
No Sandkyu's Soultimate name features a pun on "Mōsu na" (Japanese : 申すな , Mōsu na ) , which would make it a pun on a polite way to say "no thank you."
